A selection of things I've made, either from my own mind or as a commissioned order for a customer.
This customer is a massive Prince fan, and commissioned me to make a doormat with this quote. It took a lot of testing to figure out that Flex Seal is actually quite durable on doormats, so I cut a stencil on the Cricut and carefully sprayed the flex seal over it. I used alcohol ink to give more depth to the background and touch up anywhere where Flex Seal got that it shouldn't have.
When my folks moved out to the country in 2001, they fixed up the old dog kennel that was there and use it as a place where the outside cats can stay warm in the winter with a heated water bucket and old pie tins for feeding. They love to joke that Mom is the "Matron" of the "Benton County Cat House." Dad even painted the light above the door red. I took the joke a little further by making them a flashing, faux-neon sign out of acrylic tubing, EL wire, and a cabinet door.
Mom taught me how to sew and cross stitch when I was little and I'm grateful to have those skills. Even so, I hate sewing. My brain is just too chaotic for the precision required in those crafts. But when I saw something like this online, I knew it was worth making an exception for. Mom helped me pattern it out and figured out how many "stabs" it would take to complete the piece so the number was accurate. It has pride of place in my Studio.
I made this for a friend of mine who was going through a real rough season of life. Its a tiny canvas with nail polish swirls and black calligraphy ink.
This is how I "fixed" the scrape I put in my car. White permanent vinyl cut on a Cricut.
