Portfolio - Resin Art
A selection of things I've made, either from my own mind or as a commissioned order for a customer.

A customer asked me marble some colored resin onto an enameled steel bowl she had so she could use it as a bird bath. I hadn't worked on anything that big with resin before, and it had the added challenges of needing to be UV protected. I definitely made a mess of my studio with this one, but I got there in the end. The customer and I absolutely love how it turned out.
My friend loves Douglas Adams' Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. He asked me if I could alter this green gumball shift knob to look like the little green alien on the cover of the book. I used a rotary tool to carve out the mouth and some PolyGel Acrylic (a very thick UV resin for manicures) to sculpt the details. I used acrylic paint for the details and sealed it with regular UV resin.
Mom accidentlaly put a big ugly scratch in the faceplate of her quilting machine and asked if I could do something to make it look nice. I marbled some matching colors in epoxy resin, used the Cricut to cut the numbers and letters from vinyl, then sealed it with a final layer of epoxy.
I made this set of kitty earrings and necklace for Mom. I filled gold-toned kitty-shaped bezels with milky-colored UV resin and added some dried flowers between the layers.
